Dr. James R. Marbach received his bachelor’s degree in physics at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. Early in his career, he focused on research in galactic cosmic radiation and biomedical electronics. He later participated in studies of the radiation environment encountered by the U.S. astronauts. This led him to positions with the Air Force, Johnson Space Center, and several NASA-related companies. After several years in the space industry, he pursued both his Master’s and Ph.D. in medical physics at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and is licensed by the state of Texas in therapeutic medical physics. Dr. Marbach has over 25 years of experience in the field of medical physics. He has worked at several prestigious hospitals including M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. He also has provided his expertise to a manufacturer of equipment related to this field. As a partner of IMPS, he works as a medical physicist with hospitals and clinics in Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana reviewing cases and making treatment recommendations.
